LOCKED UP ABROAD EPISODES GUIDE II
As many of you are already familiar with, we here at www.tvchannelsfree.com have ranked National Geographic Channel’s Locked Up Abroad as one of our favorite shows. We watch it online, we watch it at home, some of us even watch it online while at work.
As you may (or may not) remember from our first Locked Up Abroad Episodes Guide, there are two different subcategories of episodes presented in each week’s Locked Up Abroad episode. There are the episodes about people who get caught smuggling (usually drugs, sometimes other items) and then there are the episodes in which people are kidnapped abroad by whatever local kidnapping gang exists in that area. Basically, there are those who are Locked Up Abroad and serve as prisoners and there are those who are Kidnapped Abroad and serve as hostages.
Since we’ve covered the Locked Up Abroad episodes on smugglers, we now have for all you Locked Up Abroad fans out there, the list of all the episodes of Locked Up Abroad that are about those kidnapped in foreign countries. The main difference between the episodes on smugglers and the kidnapping episodes is that the smuggling episodes tell the stories of people who made a conscious choice to break the law for personal gain, while the kidnapping episodes involve people who (for the most part) just found themselves in the wrong place at the time in the wrong country. Generally these people have broken no laws and often garner much more sympathy from the audience which I’m sure translates into a widening of Locked Up Abroad’s viewer base and gives the show a much broader spectrum of stories to tell for future episodes.

Safari guide Mark Ross and his tour group are kidnapped by Hutu rebels in Uganda.
-Philippines/Terror Island (2009)
Church volunteer Greg Williams is kidnapped and tortured by members of Abu Sayyaf…the most notorious radical Islamic Terrorist Group from the mostly Christian Philippines with known ties to Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda worldwide terror network.
-Taiwan (2008)
Taiwan’s most-wanted criminal breaks into the house of McGill Alexander, a South African army colonel, and takes him and his family hostage.
-Colombia (2007)
Glen Heggstad, an American adventurer, is kidnapped by the Colombian National Liberation Army.
You can always watch Locked Up Abroad online if it is not available in your area. It is one of our favorite shows hands down and (we believe) deserves to be watched by anyone and everyone who appreciates good TV.
